Cottage Workout

Whenever we have visitors up to the cottage there is a pretty strong chance they end up working out.

Random acts of Bod Squading happen all the time up there and this weekend was no exception! I had my friends Jules and Dan (and Matt of course) up for a weekend of Cranium, Apples to Apples and a Bod Squad topped off with an 8 km trail loop (the boys stayed and cooked breakfast while Jules and I took one for the team and did the run option!)

Our pre-run circuit:

10 seconds rest

50 seconds of work

1. Weighted (25 lbs in each hand) jump squats

2. Mountain climbers

3. One legged burpees (R leg for 50 seconds, then L leg)

4. Push-ups

5. Chaterunga tricep kick-ups (start in a plank then lower halfway down in chaterunga, then kick one leg straight up then alternate legs)

x 4

Then run 8 km through the Pinery Park trails.

It was a great workout topped off with some bacon and eggs as a reward at the end! It was so nice spending a weekend up at the cottage, I can't wait for the weather to get warm again Comeee Onnnn Sping!!!
