I do. I use an online software called PicMonkey. It is the BEST! Simple, cheap and great tools. Photoshop is just wayyy beyond my technology patience threshold!

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
I'm the head mover and shaker at Preston Fitness, a fitness company I started four years ago. I run group fitness classes called Bod Squad and do personal training. I'm proud to say that this dream of running my own business has become more successful than I could have ever imagined. I have serious #joblove.
HOW DID YOU BECOME A TRAINER AND START YOUR OWN FITNESS BUSINESS?
I feel in love with health at a very early age; I had my first fitness client when I was nine years old. I would write "plans" for my friends that involved workouts like skipping home from school and nutritional advice making sure to include Nutella at every meal.
I became a "real" trainer when I was 19 and started Bod Squad during my summers in university. Bod Squad at it's roots started as an outdoor boot camp, training friends, family and neighbours in the park behind our house. I got my first clients by putting up flyers in the neighbourhood and started this blog in hopes that it would attract one or two more clients!
HOW SHOULD I GO ABOUT PURSUING A CAREER IN FITNESS?
Workout! Workout! Workout! If you want to talk the talk you best be walking the walk! Go to as many workout classes as you can. Find the trainers/coaches/yogis/teachers you love and learn as much as possible from them.
The early bird catches the worm. In this industry you need to be prepared to work the "fringe", you're going to be working when other people aren't working. I start my days at 5:30 am to maximize my total client reach. Be persistent and find out answers on your own - don't ask for help until you've completely exhausted your own research. Start a blog and write often.
TOP FITNESS BUSINESS ADVICE
Integrity is everything. Do what you say you are going to do. If you're not at least 5 minutes early you might as well be 15 minutes late. Only work with clients you absolutely love. NEVER try to poach clients from other trainers - ever, it just makes you look desperate. Don't cancel classes. Don't substitute your classes - in four years I've done this twice and one time it was because I broke my foot - this is YOUR business, don't put on someone else's shoulders. Have a plan, know what you're going to do before your class starts - you can always completely alter the plan (as I often do!) but have one just in case.
WHO BUILT THIS WEBSITE?
I did it all by myself (italics are meant to be sung there!). The template I used is called "adirondack" From Square Space. Excellent company. I have worked with an awesome web designer in the past - Rob. But I decided that I wanted to have total control of my website and I learned how to build it myself. It took a month but it was certainly a worth while time investment.
HOW DO YOU GET YOUR COLLAGES?
I use a web tool called Snagit. Well worth the $30 a year!
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON WORKING WITH BRANDS, COMPANIES AND CHARITIES?
I am extremely selective about the brands and charities I work with and only partner with organizations that are a natural fit for my readers at Beauty and the Bod. I'm here for YOU and commit to stay 100% authentic to the foundation that this blog was built on.
I WANT TO START A BLOG, ANY TIPS?
Write often and take high quality photographs. Be true to YOU! I really love that my blog features multi-dimensional content. It keeps it exciting for me to write posts and also keeps the content fresh. Have a post schedule and commit to a routine. Maybe you always post on Wednesdays at 6 pm, whatever your schedule is - stick to it. If you want to make your blog your business treat it like one.

I would love to be able to review your blog but between clients, Bod Squad and generating my own content I just do not have a lot of time on my hands. I will be hosting blogging workshops in the future so if you're in the Toronto area stay tuned for announcements on that!

HOW DID YOU BUILD YOUR BLOG FOLLOWING?
I'm still working on it! Be true to you. Ask your friends to share it with their friends. Having a regular posting schedule did HUGE things for me. Using social media like facebook, twitter and instagram to share my content.
Do not get caught up in the numbers, honestly I really try to avoid looking at them and only look to analyze best practices. Just because a post only got 7 views does not make it a bad post! If you LOVED it then it was worth it.
WHAT DID YOU STUDY IN UNIVERSITY?
I took Kinesiology at Western University - also where I met the love of my life.
WHY WAS MY COMMENT REMOVED?
My goal with this blog is to create a positive space. I don't like to ever post about anything negative here - I want to keep the karma levels high! There is already too much negativity in the world today and the last place I want to feature more of it is on this blog. If your comments are rude, sexual, or distasteful in anyway I will not display them.
